We love to craft and want to share our love with the world! Well, maybe not the whole world...yet.

Upcoming events

Art on the Avenue is May 1st at the Salt Block in Hickory. We are so excited to hopefully set up a tent and sell our creations locally! We now have the task ahead of us of making as many things as we can before then. We all got together yesterday to get a photo of us with our homemade goodness, as requested by the folks reviewing our application for the event. Here's the one we decided on. We took quite a few and I might add some silly ones, too.

We are also throwing around the idea of have trunk type shows at some friends houses to make our fun products more available to people in the area. We would like to do one of these next month, so we have a lot to do! In the midst of all of this Melissa will be having her baby in three weeks! This will be a busy, busy season, but hopefully one that reaps some harvest for us. We feel that we've been putting a lot of time and money into this endeavor and are eager to see some change. We've had our earrings at the Hickory Tree and just recently added a few things to the Hickory Art Museum's gift shop. Our Keeperz Etsy shop has been open for a little under three months now and we have already had a couple of sales. The nature of trying to sell our own homemade goods is a long journey and one we are ready for, but a little encouragement is always nice. :)

We are really excited about spring and being able to get outside! Yesterday was so nice and I (Christa) know that I'm so ready for some warmer weather. My kids desperately need some outdoors time.

Confused

So I thought I could add more to the last post, but maybe three pictures is too much? I'm still learning, so bear with me :) I was going to comment though, that I thought the paprika colored hat and matching headband would be perfect on two sisters. I could just imagine two little girls running around, one with a paprika headband with a sweet cream flower, the other with a paprika hat and the same flower. They may find homes in two separate places, but I'd love for them to go together. Just a secret little hope.

Melissa was wanting to find something fun that she could put her hands to and wowza, did she come up with a great idea! She calls them "Zoop Zoop" hats. When she first brought them over to show me, her son and my daughter ran around the house forever with these cute things on. Even better than the colors and shape was the movement of these hats! I just loved how the little monster-trumpet-looking guys jumped and bounced as the kids ran around! I really want one for Emery now.

Getting Started

Here we go! We are Keeperz. Melissa, Christa and Rochelle. Hello!

We've been talking about starting this blog for awhile now. In fact, we did start blogging, but it was simply our meeting notes and we thought that this medium would be better used for our thoughts and crafting processes. Right now we are working on springy, bright, fun things to send your way. Here are a of couple things I (Christa) have been working on.
