A picture is worth a thousand words, right?

Are two pictures then worth two thousand words? I hope so...it's all I've got time for right now! :) These are two things Melissa has been working on. A banner for our Art on the Avenue event and a really awesome tic-tac-toe board. It makes me want to get one and teach Emery how to play!

Pick up the pace

That is what I (Christa) need to do! I am finding it harder and harder to find time to craft these days. With a newly turned one year old and a almost three year old my time is filled with chasing, cleaning, eating, feeding, laundry, diaper changing, diapering spraying, dishes, etc. The list could go on and on and on. I'm also finding that my creativity is a little stunted because once my kids are in bed I am tired and usually still have a few things to do before I can settle into my cozy bed with a crochet hook and yarn. However, I will prevail! I will keep trying each day and night to get as much crochet time that I can and get some new things made.

Oh right! Here's my finished dino hat...which I might add already has a new home :) I guess I have been able to do some crafting.

Even Newer Stuff!

Our newest addition! Dillon Lucas born March 18, 2010, 7lbs12oz, 21.5 in long. He and Melissa are home and doing awesome! Don't be surprised to see some more photos of this sweet wee man in a fun hat or two. :)


While Dillon and Melissa were getting to know each other I was working on a new hat. Here are a few pictures of the hat in progress. I will post a final photo soon!

Rochelle is headed off the sunny Florida for the week! We can't say we aren't a little jealous here. Although, if this week's weather shapes up like it's supposed to we might not have any envious feelings at all! We hope Rochelle and Kenna have a great visit! 

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

St. Patrick's Day- a day for green everything! I (Rochelle) remember my mom taking my brother and I out for green pizza and green rolls at our favorite restaurant every year.  One year they turned my milk green, and I remember adamantly refusing to drink it.  :)  I was a sensible 6 year old!

Melissa, before she went on maternity leave, whipped up two adorable pairs of Shamrock Earrings.  Here are some other green things in our store for you to enjoy! Headbands, earrings, notecards, and more!

New and old listings

Just wanted to share one of our new listings and some of our old/new listings. We've been relisting some of our older things on etsy.

New, cute, ready-to-be-worn-Wednesday shamrock earrings. St. Patrick would be so proud of you for wearing these...Well, maybe not, but we would!

Fun, orange tear dropish shaped earrings. Yes, I'm (Christa) very into orange right now. Orange can be a spring color too! Think of tulips and tiger lilies!

Our first "party"

I (Christa) think that I might have already mentioned our thoughts on having a trunk show kind of party. Well...we are having our first on April 1st! We have a friend who had purchased quite a few of our products so she is spreading the word and inviting her friends to come peruse our homemade goodness and hopefully we will gain some business out of it. We are all a little nervous and trying to craft like mad. Melissa has done a ton of crocheting and is now off the radar as her wee one will be arriving this week! Rochelle has also been vamping up the craft time sewing up awesome felt fun. Me on the other hand....crafters block. I know things I want to be making and I'm frustrated by this place I'm in, but I just cannot craft right now. We've had a lot going on in our household and I'm just exhausted at the end of the day. Instead of crocheting once my kids go to bed I just want to crash. I was very nicely reminded that we only have so many days until our party and I better get things moving. I will, I will. I am definitely one of those people who has to be inspired and am curious where this lack of motivation is coming from. Hopefully this will remedy itself very quickly. Maybe I should go look for some inspiration...
